Endoscopy: how to choose
In endoscopy the cost of keeping equipment running often exceeds the cost of buying it, because the most exposed parts are the most expensive ones: the fibre bundle, the CCD head and the insertion tube cover. That is why every set states the condition of the optics and of leak testing, not just the year of the processor.
A video chain is chosen as a whole: image processor, light source, medical monitor and endoscopes must come from compatible generations, otherwise the resolution of the chain drops to its weakest element. With used equipment we verify compatibility across the set and record it in the description, so it is not discovered after delivery.
We repair optics and electronics at component level: fibre replacement, leak-tightness restoration, camera head repair and tip control repair. Such a repair costs a fraction of a new endoscope, and after leak and image testing the device returns to the suite under warranty.
Purchase, leasing, rental and consignment work as with the rest of our equipment, and delivery includes staff training in handling and reprocessing, which is what most often decides how long an endoscope lasts.
